RE: 80 Watt Solar panel

Eighty watts is about 6 amps. In really good sun with the panel tilted at the best angle that may barely charge your battery enough for what you want. It will be marginal at best. Using a generator to charge batteries works using your converter or an outside battery charger. Some honda have a 12 volt circuit but it puts out only a few amps.

RE: How do I figure out power consumption and battery life?

restate your question as written it is meaningless.

RE: Never seen one like this ...

if you unload to camper to use it, just stop when the camper is half way off the truck get in the bed and open them. Of course you could just fully onload and pull the truck close. A ladder may also be a big help. Maybe a pair of stilts.

RE: Why is it always the inner dual???

trash on the road tends to be in the center of each lane so the inside tire sees more of it than the outside. That's why you will seldom see motorcycles ride the center of the road.

RE: 12V Batteries in parallel

If both batteries are good hooking them in pararell will cause no problem. we have done that for years.

RE: Flying J

Flying J like everyone else is feeling the way the economy is going. If you don't like their prices and practices just go somewhere else. I agree they could use more RV aisles.

RE: Suburban Oven - doesn't stay lit

it sounds like you have a good dealer working to solve your problem. Thermocouple some time fail at high temperatures but I guess you can eliminate that if the oven has been replaced. I would think that Suburan would be providing help to the dealer. Good luck.

RE: Power Washing

Power washing is over rated and can damage many things. Use a little elbow grease instead.

RE: Forum Spell Checker

RE: wire size for two 6 volt

I would also go with preassembled battery cables. You will be drawing well over 100 amps through that connector. If possible replace the wires going to ground and the converter with heavier guage.

RE: Grandkids and cats.

At least you were able to visit with your daughter. You will miss the granddaughter. Dogs and cats learn to get along, Your grandchild will probably grow into a really neat young lady. I would suggest that you try to do KIDS, it will keep you young. Try being nice to the neighbor children and visit with their parents. Friends you get to pick, Relativies are your own fault. Have a nice day.

RE: leaking roof

If you can't repair it before storage put a cover over that area and duct tape it down.

RE: 2000 Georgetown, odd circuit in transfer switch

It's a long shout but the manufacturer may be able to help you. Finding someone who has had a problem in that area after 8 years may be rough.

RE: Fan Belt

It may be a bad belt but, could be a weak tensioner. There are belt treatments that will help the problem for a while.

RE: Buffing 34ft Coach

That may be 5 hours labor. Many shops are up to $100 per hour. The rate may be less but the shop may fear damaging the unit. Of course if the shop you ask just doesn't want to do that kind of job it may be high.

RE: Gear Change 1997 GMC Yukon

Try the auto salvage dealers. If they have the whole unit it probably will work. It may be expensive. It might be better to trade tow vehicles.

RE: 1996 Alpha 5th wheel battery hookup

Get out the ohmmeter and measure each wire to the frame of the trailer. Use a high range. The ones that show 0 ohms should be the negatives.

RE: Brake fluid change

Whats best way to loosen bleeder valve without breaking it off. Maybe heat it up by short drive with brakes on? in past i usually broke them I would use penatrating oil and a good six-sided socket.
